It is true that there are certain discrepancies between the declarations of Lung Ju and Chong On, but they agree in a remarkable manner, especially when the circumstances under which they were made are considered.
In connection with these declarations, I have now to forward a declaration from Tang O., who was Chong On's predecessor as Chinese Excise officer to the Opium Farmer Chief.
The declaration corroborates those made by Chong On and Lung Ju, but there are some discrepancies between it and that of Leong Su.

M furnishes, however, the strongest evidence against the two Inspectors yet obtained, for Sang says that he paid bribes to them with his own hands, and also to the Chinese Detectives Tang Chung O, Mi Cheung, and Jeung Fat, who have made declarations in their favour.
I should mention that I sent for the man Ho Fat, but he denied having been sent on any message to Quincey by Ping On.
I also obtained a statement, which I enclose, from Wat Wo corroborating Tang On's declaration, but after he had made it, he left.
